"Entrance from Kozhumyatska" is a personal project of artist Anna Shcherbyna, created as part of a creative residency from the Bereznytskyi Foundation.

The exhibition is open every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until October 25 inclusive. Free entrance.

The focus of the artist's work was a place — the exhibition space of the Bereznitsky Art Foundation and the street behind its walls. The project represents the author's feelings and thoughts about the flow of states, interpenetration of time and space, internal and external. What is depicted in the paintings and drawings of Anna Shcherbina refers both to the past of Kozhumyatska Street, with its dilapidated buildings and wild thickets, and to the future, in which nature can once again prevail over human creations.

Anna Shcherbyna (1988) is a contemporary Ukrainian artist. Works with media such as painting, graphics, video and installation. She was educated at the Odesa Grekov Art College and the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. Studied at the modern art course at the School of Visual Communications (Kyiv, 2013 - 2014) and at the School of Involved Art (School of Involved Art) "What to Do" (Berlin, 2014). Participant in the PinchukArtCentre 2020 Award nominees exhibition, co-curator and participant in the exhibitions "Cave of the Golden Rose" (Closer, 2019) and "Spinning Machine, Saber and Deer" (Museum of Local History, Stanytsia Luhansk, 2018), participant in the exhibitions "Your Own Space" (PinchukArtCentre, 2018) , "Social Realism. To seem different" (National Art Museum of Ukraine, 2017) and others.

Bereznitsky Art Foundation is an independent institution whose activities are aimed at systematic support of contemporary artists and the development of artistic practices, the presentation of the Ukrainian art scene abroad and international art in Ukraine, the expansion of interdisciplinary dialogue and cooperation, and consists in the implementation of a program of creative and research residencies, holding exhibitions, festival and educational events. The history of the Foundation dates back to 1994, when the art critic and collector Lyudmila Bereznitska founded the contemporary art gallery L-Art in Kyiv, which has been operating as the Bereznitsky Gallery in Berlin and Kyiv since 2006. In 2014, together with her son, curator Yevhen Bereznitsky, she founded the Bereznitsky Art Foundation.
